Wednesday March 18th 2009

The Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga received the award for it's new, re-branded Web site. Judges evaluated entries on several criteria and used a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being the highest score. With little exception, the Foundation's Web site received fives across the board.
Comments like: "Home Page is a WOW!", "Best of All nominations!", "Clear, compelling and informative", were common. Pete Cooper, president of the Community Foundation said, "We are honored by this special recognition from the Council on Foundations. This honor wouldn't have been possible without the help of our talented marketing partner, Maycreate Idea Group."
The awards which originated in 1984, are named after the Council's first executive director. Their purpose is to educate the field of organized philanthropy about the importance of creative and strategic communications.
