The Challenge

A small design firm in Chattanooga, TN makes one of the most revolutionary iPad cases and mobile accessories on the market. And three percent of every purchase goes to a charitable cause. A case that rotates 360 degrees in either direction and has a revolutionary utility patent. It should sell itself, right?

Our Approach

The test was getting the word out in a market that was saturated with cases and some imposters claiming, they also easily rotated 360 degrees in either direction. Time to build an ironclad brand story and demonstrate your point of difference in clever, well-produced videos posted on You Tube, Vimeo and a buttkickingwebsite that directs our proprietary message to our intended target.

Brand Identity

In a market where the competition is fierce and every product is vying for attention, we had a unique advantage and benefit. That’s not often the case. We found a friendly typeface and voice, some striking colors, added a little well-placed wit and capitalized on our 360-degree point of difference. The next thing we knew we had a brand  that was attracting attention, positive reviews and happy customers.

Product Design

The Swivel Profolio™ is engineered, configured and designed like no other. Besides it’s unique, patented rotating, self-adjusting handle, there are several features that make this case the exception. It was designed to have everything an end-user could think of and some they didn't.

Campaign Collateral

The Swivel Profolio™ Packaging with its eye-catching brand colors, brief descriptions of the Swivel Profolio’s exclusive features and a headline that sums up the true advantage of this unique iPad case: “Because the iPad Should be less in your hands and more at your fingertips.”

We searched for media vehicles that gave us direct access to the professional, business and consumer worlds who are users of Apple products. Macworld magazine and the Macworld Directory were the ideal platforms for us to deliver our exclusive story to that targeted audience.

Mac World attracts an audience of thousands from all over the world, including developers, investors, CMOs, MAC users, sales managers and many others. This was the perfect event for introducing Us+U’s revolutionary new iPad case. It gave the company a chance to demo the product, connect with potential  sales opportunities and create valuable word-of-mouth.

Videos

We also produced a series of entertaining and informative videos, which featured the company’s inventor and founder. A little off-beat, fun and unexpected, they extolled the virtues of the product’s benefits, while providing plenty of brand personality.

Results

Our audience responded!  Best Buy™ bought hundreds of cases for sales associates nationwide. So did Red Bull™in Paris, France. And thousands were sold through MacAuthoriity,  Frys, Best Buy and other retailers. The Swivel Profoilo™was Macworld’s accessory of the year runner up in 2011. It was also awarded eight design patents and one utility patent. And more than a thousand cases were donated to schools in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
