Maycreate became the Agency of Record for First Bank of Tennessee in 2017. Through some initial qualitative market research, we found quite a bit of confusion in the market as there are several banks with similar names. Our first task was to recommend a name change. The next step was to take the Client through our Discovery Session to get an idea of who the bank really is day-to-day.
Post discovery, we found one word continually popping up, "simplify." Working through our naming process and proprietary scoring system, the Client chose our favorite, SimplyBank. After all, their goal is to simplify the financial matters of their customers.
From there, it was time to build a brand from the ground up. Once we developed the new look and feel it was time to present the concept to all of the bank's one hundred plus employees. They loved it!
The results have been worth all of the hard work. SimplyBank is outperforming expectations, including existing market and new market growth.
With ownership, senior management, and employee buy-in, it was time to execute the brand. Before implementing the new look, we needed to finalize the new logo formats, color palette, typeface palette, textual tone, and manner as well layout style for ads and print collateral. With brand assets in place, we designed new branch exteriors, worked with the landscapers and sign company to make sure their "curb appeal" fit the SimplyBank style. We even worked with their interior designer to reimagine how a bank's environment can look and feel. All new signage (both inside and out), advertising campaign (both traditional and digital), social campaign, and website completed the year-long makeover.
