
A very talented graphic designer. Her father, a successful architect, and mother, a creative director and talented graphic designer, inspired and encouraged Lizzy’s creative passion. Her mom also homeschooled Lizzy and her younger sister. Lizzy says she’s sort of left brain, right brain.
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, the “City With Soul” and known for its music scene, played a role as well. Lizzy also knew the great graphic designers, like Annie Atkins and Mary Blair, but her biggest idol was Jim Henson. Another surprising influence was the Greek Orthodox Church, with its magnificent Byzantine style portrayals of Saints, Christ, and the Virgin Mary.
When it came to finding a career path, Lizzy chose advertising. The business offered her the opportunity to create beautiful things. Work with great clients who offered a product or service that made life better. And the challenge of reaching your audience in a creative and unexpected way. “That’s a fascinating place to be,” she whispers.
